Croatian Association Joins News Media Europe

The Croatian news publisher association HUP-Udruga Novinskih Izdavača joined News Media Europe as an associate member during NME’s Board meeting in Brussels, strengthening the ties between both associations ahead of Croatia’s Presidency to the European Union.

The President of HUP-Udruga Novinskih Izdavača, Boris Trupcevic, was warmly welcomed by NME members, NME said.

Wout van Wijk, News Media Europe executive director, said: “We’re extremely pleased having our Croatian colleagues on Board and we look forward to a successful cooperation.”

NME is committed to maintaining and promoting the freedom of the press, to upholding and enhancing the freedom to publish, and to championing the news brands which are one of the most vital parts of Europe’s creative industries.

The News Media Association has been a member since the organisation’s launch in 2016.
