Jeremy Hunt to Address Newspaper Conference

Jeremy Hunt is to be guest speaker at a Newspaper Conference lunch in May.

The Health Secretary will address Westminster-based political editors writing for regional press titles in membership of the News Media Association.

The Conference, the regional press lobby, is chaired by Archant group political editor Annabelle Dickson.

The group holds regular events with senior politicians. Earlier this month, the group held a breakfast event with SNP leader in Westminster  Angus Robertson.

The Newspaper Conference’s flagship event is the annual lunch which was held in January with Jeremy Corbyn as guest speaker.

It was the Labour Party leader’s  first press lunch and he told NMA member publishers that local papers  were the “glue of the community” and that everybody relied upon them.
