Joanne McGreevy Named NME Vice President

News Media Europe has announced Joanne McGreevy as its new Vice President. Joanne is marketplace publisher at Reach Ireland with 30 years of media experience.

Upon her appointment, Joanne said: “Our industry is collaborating more than ever, working together to put journalism back at the heart of the conversation, where opinions are being formed and where information is trusted.

“Media needs to be recognising and explaining trends that matter to how we live and exploring opportunities for growth and I look forward to working with News Media Europe, representing Irish media, Reach and our industry as a whole, to do just that.”

Joanne has spent 8 years at Reach Plc, responsible for developing a digital first strategy in Irish business. In 2015, Joanne helped launch Reach’s first national, digital only news brand, Belfast Live. Reach have since gone on to launch several ‘Live’ news sites throughout UK and Ireland, whilst retaining strong market share positions for traditional print newspaper markets.
